I’ve been working with Backed Buy, a refurbished technology business, helping to create digital content and develop its online presence.

This is an ongoing project where I’ve been able to gain practical experience creating content for a real business and working on projects that have an actual audience.

Video Production

One of the main projects I’ve worked on for Backed Buy has been producing video content for the business.

For one of the videos, I was responsible for the filming and editing, while my dad provided the voiceover.

I filmed the footage before bringing everything together during the editing process. This involved selecting the best shots, arranging the footage, editing the pacing and making sure the final video worked effectively as promotional content.

The video went on to achieve over 20,000 views on YouTube, which I’m particularly proud of as it gave me a measurable result from content that I had filmed and edited.

Filming & Editing

Working on content for a real business has helped me develop my understanding of how video can be used as part of a wider digital marketing strategy.

Rather than creating videos purely as college projects, I’ve had to think about the audience, purpose and overall quality of the finished content.

Being responsible for both filming and editing has allowed me to develop my understanding of the complete video-production process, from capturing footage through to delivering the final edit.

A Measurable Result

The biggest achievement from this project so far has been the performance of the video.

Reaching 19,000+ views gave me a clear indication that the content was successfully reaching an audience.

It also showed me the value of creating content that is not only technically well produced, but also interesting and engaging enough for people to watch.

Achieving more than 19,000 views on a video I’ve filmed and edited is something I’m particularly proud of, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my work with Backed Buy and taking on new projects.
